Earlier this month, Global Water Center team member Christian Ngang attended the African Water and Sanitation Association (AfWASA) Conference in Cameroon, joining leaders, innovators, and practitioners committed to strengthening water and sanitation systems across the continent.
AfWASA provides a vital space for collaboration, where professionals share practical solutions and learn from one another’s experience. During the conference, Christian participated in sessions covering topics shaping the future of safe water, including desalination initiatives, new research insights, and innovations in rural water quality management.
One moment stood out. Christian met Alhadji Baya, a student who had completed Global Water Center’s solar powered water systems course last year. Alhadji proudly showed his course certificate and shared how the training continues to support his work in Cameroon.
Feels good to witness that this is already happening. Would really love to be a part of such.
Thank you for your comment and your passion for ending the global water crisis.
