We are thrilled to announce a generous $100,000 grant from Osprey Foundation to support the launch of the Carbon Aggregator Platform in Uganda. Created by Carbon 4 Safe Water (C4SW), a subsidiary of Global Water Center, the platform will help safe water providers access sustainable carbon financing and expand their impact. Â
Across Uganda, local organizations are working every day to provide safe drinking water to their communities. While they have the dedication and community trust needed to create lasting change, many lack access to the financing and other resources needed to scale their impact.Â
The Carbon Aggregator Platform was created to help change that. Carbon finance has the potential to transform how safe water projects are funded, but the certification process is often too costly and complex for many small and medium-sized providers to navigate alone. Through the platform, C4SW provides technical guidance, training, and shared resources that reduce barriers to participating in the carbon market.Â
Osprey Foundation’s support will help advance developer training, baseline surveys, stakeholder engagement, project development, and the technical work required for Gold Standard certification. Together, these investments will create new opportunities for local safe water providers to access sustainable financing that strengthens operations and expands service to more communities. Â
“The greatest opportunity to scale safe water is through sustainable financing,” said Eric Wei, President of C4SW. “Osprey Foundation’s investment helps make that opportunity more accessible to the organizations creating impact every day.”Â
The impact reaches far beyond carbon credits. Stronger organizations mean more resilient water systems, greater local capacity, and communities that continue benefiting from safe drinking water year after year.Â
To everyone at Osprey Foundation, thank you for supporting this vision and for investing in the people who keep safe water flowing.Â
As this work grows, Carbon 4 Safe Water welcomes new funding partners and safe water providers who want to help bring sustainable safe water to more communities.

Congratulations to Carbon 4 Safe Water, Global Water Center, and Osprey Foundation on this remarkable achievement. SIHDO applauds this innovative approach to sustainable safe water financing and its potential to strengthen local organizations. We look forward to opportunities for collaboration and partnership to expand safe water access and improve community resilience in Somalia. Wishing you continued success!
Great to see this initiative , glad to be part of Global water Center am currently undertaking an online course SPWS, but regarding Carbon 4Safe Water initiative, a platform created to enable implementing organization access sustainable financing through technical guidance and training, I would love to acquire more technical knowledge in pursuit to availing safe drinking water for our communities I have a background in Water Resources Engineering. Thank you
@Kato- Thanks for your comment. Congratulations on taking the online solar powered water systems course. We hope the course is going well for you!
Thank you for celebrating with us! We’re grateful for your encouragement and support.
