Audience: This is for professionals managing or planning borehole drilling projects, funding agencies, NGOs, government water authorities, consulting and engineering firms, WASH officers, procurement staff, and others whose work influences borehole drilling or procurement.

Prerequisites:

  • Introduction to Borehole Drilling Projects (required)
  • Introduction to Groundwater Science (highly recommended)
  • Intro to Science of Groundwater

Time commitment: Approximately 5 hours a week for up to 6 weeks

Registration Cost: $175 per person

Description

Contract management plays a key role in ensuring that drilling projects meet contractual requirements, improving project outcomes and yields. Upon completion of the course, learners will be able to assess the thoroughness of a drilling contract, identify the roles, responsibilities, and tasks throughout each phase—before, during, and after drilling—and understand how to manage relationships among the drilling supervisor, contractor, and community.
