Description: This self-paced course introduces the science of groundwater, revealing how water moves through rocks, how aquifers form, and why groundwater matters to communities and ecosystems. By course end, participants will understand groundwater flow, storage, and quality, preparing them for the groundwater resource management and borehole-drilling courses.
Audience: This course is a prerequisite for the Groundwater Resource Management Course and the Professionalization of Borehole Drilling Supervision course and it is highly recommended for people interested in participating in the Professional Borehole Drilling Procurement and Contract Management courses, or generally interested in learning more about the topic.
