Steve Vanderboom

Founder and Chairman Emeritus, Pace, Inc.

A South Dakota native, Steve received a BS in Civil Engineering from South Dakota Mines and an MS in Environmental Engineering from the Univ of MN. He founded Pace Analytical in Minneapolis, MN in 1978. Steve served as CEO for 41 years, then as Executive Chairman. Pace is the largest privately held environmental and pharmaceutical testing business in the US with over 80 laboratories and over 4,000 employees. Vanderboom received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Environmental Business Journal and from the American Council of Independent Laboratories. Steve serves as a Board member of the Global Water Center and is active in his church, YPO, CEO, and numerous philanthropic efforts. Steve and his wife Julie live in Medina, MN in the summer and Naples, FL in the winter.
